Zoltan Elek

Zoltan Elek (Dipl.-Ing.) graduated from the Technical University of Munich in 2005 with a degree in electrical engineering, specializing in power engineering. He rounded off his education with additional studies at the Center for Digital Technology and Management of the Elite Network Bavaria at LMU Munich. He also participated in an MBA program at the TUM Business School in Munich and at the University of California (Berkeley) and completed an executive program at Harvard Business School. His professional career has taken Elek to E.On Engineering, Stadtwerke München and McKinsey & Company in the Electrical Power & Natural Gases division, among others. In 2007, he founded Landwärme GmbH. The company operates as a biomethane trader and service provider throughout Europe. With a trading portfolio of over 3 terawatt hours, Landwärme has grown to become one of Europe's leading biomethane traders, supplying customers in the electricity, fuel and heating sectors. As a service provider, the company advises customers along the entire value chain - whether on biomethane production, transport, remuneration claims or greenhouse gas quotas.

Sebastian Feldhoff

Sebastian Feldhoff is employed as a project engineer at OWI Science for Fuels gGmbH, where he has headed the Fuels and Lubricants research area since 2017. The focus of his more than 10 years of research at OWI is on the chemical-physical properties of liquid energy carriers and their application in technical systems. Sebastian Feldhoff is, among other things, a member of the ProcessNet working committee Alternative Liquid and Gaseous Fuels.

Jörg Fischer

Jörg Fischer has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of EnviTec Biogas AG since June 2007. He is responsible for Financing, Accounting, IT and Business Development. Before joining the biogas plant manufacturer, Fischer worked for Bremer Landesbank. Most recently, as head of the project financing team, he was responsible for the strategic expansion of the business unit, planning and controlling processes and key account management with a focus on renewable energies. 

Born in Bremen, he began his career in 1991 in the payment transactions department at the Landeszentralbank Bremen. After further positions at the Landeszentralbank Cuxhaven, the graduate in business administration and economics and moved on to Bremer Landesbank in 1999. 

Jörg Fischer studied business administration at the Fachhochschule der Deutschen Bundesbank in Hachenburg and economics at the University of Bremen as well as New School University and Columbia University, New York.

Dr. Thomas Garbe

Dr. Thomas Garbe is Team Leader for Energy Carriers in the Volkswagen Powertrain Development at Volkswagen AG Wolfsburg.

He has graduate studies in Chemistry in 1998 (Dipl. Chem.) and Post – Graduate (Dr. rer. Nat) in 2001. He has been an employee of Volkswagen AG Wolfsburg since 1998, in different positions.

He is also Honorary Professor at the University of Applied Science in Coburg, Germany, since 2016.

Alois Gerig

Alois Gerig was a member of the German Bundestag from 2009 to 2021, first as chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the Committee on Food and Agriculture and from 2015 to 2021 as its chairman. Alois Gerig has been a member of the Neckar-Odenwald district council since 1999 and Chairman of the Federal Association of German Small and Fruit Distillers since 2011.

Alois Gerig is married and has three adult children. He completed his agricultural training in 1977 with a master craftsman's certificate. From 1985 to 2009, he was General Manager of Maschinenring Odenwald-Bauland and three commercial subsidiaries. In 1988, he took over the family farm, developed it as a holiday farm and has since passed it on to his son.

Dr. Armin Günther

Armin Günther studied chemistry at Goethe University Frankfurt, worked at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) in Bologna, received his doctorate in chemistry in Frankfurt and worked in atmospheric research. He headed the department for project management and renewable energies of an engineering company and was responsible for national and international projects in traditional plant construction and renewable energies. At LURGI AG he held various functions and positions such as Director Market Group Renewables and e.g. Director Innovation & Development and Director High Temperature Center (HTC) at Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions. He is an international technical expert for the Air Liquide Group and currently holds the position of Director New Technologies & Energy Transition.

Adrian Herberger

Dominik Herzog

Dominik Herzog is responsible for sales at H2 MOBILITY Germany. With his expertise and high level of commitment, he supports companies on their way to CO2-neutral transport services with the super molecule hydrogen. His focus is on the sale of hydrogen molecules in Europe's largest hydrogen filling station network to users from the bus and truck segment.
 
Dominik Herzog studied business administration in Bamberg and Swansea (UK). He has been dedicated to hydrogen since 2015. Before joining H2 MOBILTY Germany, he was involved in the rise of the former technology start-up Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies GmbH to an internationally operating company, among other things as a business developer. In addition, Dominik Herzog has professional experience in the field of decentralised energy supply as well as the automotive supplier industry.

Korinna Jörling

Korinna Jörling is head of the Renewable Fuels Team at NOW GmbH. In this role, she advises the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV) on renewable fuels and is responsible for the design and implementation of funding measures. In her previous position as Senior Consultant at Guidehouse, she advised German ministries and the European Commission on energy transition policy, among others. She holds a Master's degree in Environmental Policy & Regulation from the London School of Economics.

Peter Jürgens

REDcert GmbH

  • Since its foundation in 2010, Managing Director of REDcert GmbH, which was founded by the leading associations of the agricultural and biofuel industry to establish an industry-based certification system for sustainably produced biofuels and bioliquids under the European Renewable Energy Directive.
  • Also responsible for the subsidiary Sustainable Resources Verification Scheme (SURE), which was founded by REDcert in 2019 as a joint venture with the European umbrella organization Bioenergy Europe and focuses on the sustainability certification of solid and gaseous biomass for electricity and heat generation.
  • Responsible for the SeedGuard certification system for seed treatment facilities and the supporting organization of the same name
  • For almost 20 years, responsible for ORGAINVENT GmbH, which operates the only testing system for the origin labeling of meat in Germany.
