Daniel Klüh works as a research assistant at the Chair for Regenerative Energy Systems at the Technical University of Munich. His field of work is the development and evaluation of processes for the production of sustainable fuels or chemicals. Raw materials for these processes are biomass, CO2, hydrogen or electricity. His doctoral thesis here focuses on the integration of hydrogen-based power-to-X technologies in pulp mills. As part of his work, he did research for 3 months each at the Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finland) and the National University of Colombia. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt and Virginia Tech (USA) and an M.Sc. in Energy Science and Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt.

Daria is an analyst for SGS INSPIRE, and she is an expert in fuel production, fuel quality regulation, and market analysis for Eurasia and the Western Balkans. Daria has extensive research experience in fuel production and development, including biofuels.
Before joining SGS INSPIRE, Daria was working in Academia in the field of novel approaches for the production of liquid fuels from biomass. She was researching synthetic biodiesel via catalytic hydrotreating. Daria holds a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Environment since 2019.

Michael Kolbeck (M.Sc. Chemical Engineering) initially worked in the automotive industry in the field of fuel analysis / project management of alternative fuels. His activities included the evaluation of production processes for alternative fuels (e.g. electrolysis, CO2 capture and catalysis) and current national and European legislation in the transportation sector. He also coordinated development projects for the technical evaluation of alternative fuels with regard to material/component compatibility, emissions and use in existing vehicle technology. At TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH, Michael Kolbeck has been working in the field of energy certification since 2022 and is an appointed auditor for TÜV SÜD Standards, CertifHy, ISCC and the dena Biomethane Register.
AGCO GmbH
Dr. Philipp Kress studied agricultural sciences at the University of Hohenheim with a focus on agricultural engineering. After completing his studies, he began his doctorate at the State Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioenergy in Hohenheim. His research focused on the effects of flexible biogas production on the efficiency of agricultural biogas plants. In addition to the theoretical examination of this topic, he was also able to gain a wide range of practical experience in the field of renewable energies and their versatile use.
Dr. Philipp Kress has been working in product management at AGCO/Fendt since 2019, where he is responsible for tractors in the larger horsepower segment. He is also the contact person for pre-development for questions relating to alternative fuels in the context of the product.

Professor Dr Josef Löffl was born in Bad Kötzting in 1980. He was a research fellow of the Bavarian Elite Network and a junior research award winner of the University of Bavaria e.V.. After studying humanities and earning his doctorate, he joined a top management consultancy in the post-doctoral phase. After several positions in owner-managed companies, he returned to academia. First as a professor for project and change management, then as a professor and institute director in the context of science dialogue. He is currently professor for regional innovation networks and future dialogue at Coburg University of Applied Sciences.

Daša is the Government Affairs Director of the European Waste-based & Advanced Biofuels Association – EWABA since March 2022. She has long year experience working in the EU affairs in the field of renewable energy and low carbon fuels after leading the Brussels office of the biggest Central and Eastern European biofuel holding Envien Group for over 5 years.
Daša has been following the EU energy and climate agenda concentrated recently in the Fit for 55 package with special focus on transport sector from the very beginning and analysing the impact of individual legislative proposals on the future of European transport sector. At EWABA, we believe that renewable and low carbon fuels are essential and will work alongside electrification not only on the energy transition but for the long-term decarbonising targets of the European Union’s transport.

Martin Miller is Head of Technology Management at Rolls-Royce Power Systems, a leading provider of propulsion and power solutions. In this role, he is responsible for technology strategy, technology scouting, technology radar and funding acquisition.
After studying chemical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, he began his professional career in 2011 at Zeppelin Systems GmbH, a company in the international plant engineering sector. There he worked as a laboratory manager in process engineering from 2011 to 2015.
He then moved to Rolls-Royce, where he worked as a fuel expert and deputy laboratory manager from 2015 to 2019.
From 2019-2022, he was a laboratory manager at Rolls-Royce with responsibility for fuels, oils, coolants, technical cleanliness and gravimetric emission determination.

Alexey Mozgovoy develops products for liquefaction of biogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) and biomethane at Hitachi Zosen Inova.
Alexey has more than 10 years of experience with renewable energy and natural gas supply systems.
He is an author of many papers on the topic of Gas Mobility and Biomethane, which have been published in renowned technical and scientific journals.
He has organized and led many research and industrial projects on the integration of biomethane, power-to-gas, and bio-LNG into the energy system.
His deep understanding of the national and international renewable energy policy results from his experience with the biogas advocating in Germany and Europe.
